🍂 Even Though It’s Still Summer, I’m Dreaming of Fall
The sun is still high in the sky, the days are long, and the iced coffee is flowing… but if I’m being honest? My heart is already turning toward fall.
There’s something about the slow shift of seasons that brings a gentle kind of excitement. Maybe it’s the way golden light hits the trees in late afternoon, or how my thoughts wander to warm loaves in the oven and knitting by lamplight. Even in the middle of July, I start craving the rituals that come with cooler air and shorter days.
While I’m not quite ready to trade in sandals for boots just yet, I am letting myself prepare in small ways. Here are a few of my favorite cozy fall things I’m already looking forward to — and maybe you are too.

🍂 1. My Favorite Oversized Knit Throw Blanket
There is nothing like curling up with a good book, a hot drink, and a soft blanket once the temperatures dip. I keep mine draped over the back of our reading chair, ready for morning quiet time or a slow evening wind-down.
🍂 2. A Fall-Scented Candle
As soon as September rolls in, I light a candle every morning — something with notes of cinnamon, clove, or baked apples. It’s a simple ritual, but it changes the energy of the whole room. One match, and suddenly everything feels softer.

🍂 3. My Go-To Autumn Mug
Okay, maybe this is a little extra, but I have a favorite fall mug. You know the one — thick ceramic, maybe a pumpkin on the front, or a speckled glaze that feels like pottery from a farmer’s market. I sip hot cider, chai, or decaf coffee in it all season long.
Even though the calendar says “summer,” I’m allowing myself to feel a little bit of fall magic already. There’s no rush — just gentle, joyful anticipation.
If you’re the same way, I’d love to know: what cozy little things are you already dreaming of?
Until then, here’s to slow days, soft mornings, and the beauty of seasons shifting—one small moment at a time. 🍁☕🧶
